The firm

NIDDAM-DROUAS AVOCATS is an independent firm dedicated to competition law, media law, intellectual property and new technologies.

From major French and Anglo-Saxon law firms, its two founding partners, Julie NIDDAM and Marie de DROUAS, use the skills and experience they developed there in order to provide their clients with a high-level legal service, responsive, tailor-made and competitive.

The Firm provides advice, assists its clients in implementing pre-litigation strategies and represents them in all types of proceedings, before competition authorities, civil and criminal courts, in plaintiff and defense.

Promoting a pragmatic approach, the Firm always seeks a transactional solution when possible and in its client’s best interests.

Julie NIDDAM est avocate au Barreau de Paris depuis 2006. 

Julie NIDDAM a exercé au sein d’un cabinet français de grande renommée pendant 10 ans avant de cofonder, le 1er janvier 2017, NIDDAM-DROUAS AVOCATS.

Dotée d’une parfaite maîtrise du droit de la propriété intellectuelle, des nouvelles technologies, des médias et des données à caractère personnel, elle est amenée à résoudre des situations complexes pour le compte de sociétés et de grands groupes nationaux et internationaux, tant dans les domaines émergents que les secteurs classiques. 

Avant d’intégrer le Barreau de Paris, elle a travaillé au service culturel du Consulat Général de France à Los Angeles et a été juriste d’entreprises, expériences qui lui permettent de comprendre les attentes de ses clients et d’y répondre.

Julie NIDDAM a été chargée d’enseignement au sein d’une école de commerce et intervient régulièrement dans le cadre de colloques spécialisés.

Marie DE DROUAS

Marie de Drouas is specialized in EU and French competition law. She focuses on merger control, cartel and abuse of dominance cases, with a particular emphasis on the telecommunication, transport, consumer goods, real estate and energy sectors. She assists clients both on the plaintiff and defendant side. She has a specific experience in antitrust follow-on damages litigation.

Marie's practice covers all aspects of competition and distribution law.

She practiced with Clifford Chance in Paris within the Antitrust team for 10 years. She then set up her own practice before cofounding NIDDAM-DROUAS AVOCATS in 2017.

Before joining the Paris Bar, she worked in the Franco-British business team of an English law firm in London. ​ Marie is a member of the Board of the Association des Avocats Pratiquant le Droit de la Concurrence (Lawyers practising Competition Law - APDC) and a member of the Association Française d'Etude de la Concurrence (French Association for the Study of Competition - AFEC).

A lawyer since 2015, Anne Laporte joined the NIDDAM-DROUAS AVOCATS law firm in 2023, after having worked in Marseille and Parisian firms specializing in intellectual property law. 

Anne Laporte intervenes on issues of media rights, intellectual property and new technologies both in advice (transfers and licenses, CGV and CGU, IT contracts, GDPR compliance) and in litigation (actions for nullity, forfeiture and oppositions to the INPI and EUIPO, counterfeiting, unfair competition, press litigation, internet litigation etc.).

She has been a member of the Association of Practitioners of Trademark and Design Law (APRAM) since 2020.

Mathieu ANNE

Mathieu ANNE is specialized in EU and French competition law. He completed a Master 2 in Competition and Contract Law at the University of Paris-Saclay and an LL.M. at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (Germany).

After several experiences in Anglo-Saxon and French law firms, at the Court of Justice of the European Union and at the French Competition Authority, he joined the firm's Competition team in January 2023 and advises on both anti-competitive practices and merger control.

He is a member of the AFEC and is also a lecturer in competition law in the M1 International Business and Law at the Institut Catholique de Lille (Issy Les Moulineaux campus).
